Whatever Happened to...The Westland Westminster.
The Westland Westminster was a brave attempt by the Yeovil based manufacturer to produce a genuine all civil heavy lift helicopter utilising existing dynamic components manufactured by Sikorsky. Political intervention brought about its demise as the various helicopter manufacturers were amalgamated. But what if this private venture project had been allowed to continue. The development and demise of this interesting helicopter are charted in this publication. Available in June price including postage and packing is £3.50

Aeronautical Walks
Southbourne, Bournemouth, Dorset
This comprehensive booklet, takes the outdoor aviation archivists on a guided tour around this historically interesting aeronautical site. Important as being the location of one of Britain's first flying meetings it also has the sad distinction of being the location of the United Kingdoms first fatal flying accident when The Honourable C S Rolls, co founder of the Rolls Royce Automobile Company, lost his life. Having walked the flying field, with its various landmarks and associations described, the guide leads the walker on to the site of RAF Southbourne and details its use as a "Home Chain" radar site during World War Two. For the armchair enthusiast the guide serves as comprehensive document detailing the history and development of this aeronautical location.

This guide will be available in late June full details will be posted on the website next month.

Over the next few months several Aeronautical Archive Focus publications are planned and these will all be previewed on the Aeronautical Archive website.
