Welcome to Aeronautical Archive the forum for the dedicated  aviation historian.

Aeronautical Archive is the market place for the exchange of information, research and ideas related to our rich aviation heritage.

Envisaged as a “journal” for the serious historian it is updated monthly.  For those wishing to further their own research there is a Billboard where requests can be made and hopefully answers received.  Details of how to make use of this service can be found on the appropriate page.

The Aeronautical Archive library and records are extensive and in the furtherance of research regular visits are made to the Public Records Office at Kew and local libraries and record offices up and down the country.

Aeronautical Archive Publications are currently preparing a series of booklets entitled Aeronautical Archive Focus.  These concise documents will cover various aspects of our rich aviation heritage.  The intention, however, will be to unearth the more obscure or unusual aspects of aeronautical history and then give a detailed a analysis of the subject.

For the historian who wishes to take a more active roll in the exploration of our aeronautical heritage, the first in a series of well illustrated guides entitled “Aeronautical Walks” will be published by Aeronautical Archive Publications early this summer.

Aeronautical Archive Focus will form the basis of a series of ongoing publications that will be made available for purchase only over the Internet or by Mail Order.
